Chorus
I’m feeling reserved
Man that’s how I’m living
I got to do with this mic I was given X2
to try to get by, no word of a lie
We got to try to restore pride

Verse one written by Karmen Omeosoo

Once upon a time nah screw that, this aint no fairytale
This stuff should be measured on a higher scale
Because the native female and male spirits getting frail
I mean like a total loss of culture
With out that were mice and the white men are vultures
Waiting to prey upon us from that higher level
They act like they gods and we be the devils
But don’t god want my land to be free
Then tell me why is he cutting down all my trees
And don’t god want my people to be peaceful
Then why ain’t we equal huh? It’s a never-ending sequel
But weren’t we to the first to be on this land
That’s what I heard but I still don’t understand why
Suckers want to bring down my tradition
They act like its they mission to put me out of commission
But they wishing upon the great North Star
They won’t get far trying to mend these emotional scars
And I hope all you little neechees feel me
Cause if they want to take my pride they’ll have to kill me
And that’s the way your mind state should be
Don’t let no one tell you that you ain’t a Cree
See what we see but don’t be who we be
Being yourself starts with originality
But I want to tell you to stay away from the brew
And the drugs and the bitches and the dirty money too
And work hard to get a good education
Cause that’s what we lack on almost every reservation
And show the nation how much pride you have inside yourself
And show them that you got traditional wealth and health yeah

Chorus x2

Verse two written by Rex Smallboy

Stuck on the reservation my realization of my situations got me wondering
Why do these things got to be like this, little Indian girls having F.A.S. kids
Everybody’s getting high man, we can’t forget that
They used to smoke dope now their smoking crack
But that ain’t the only problem that we people got
There’s lots, for two the beer and the slots
Pawnshops, they give you money when you’re broke
You pawn your TV for some gas and some smokes
I heard you sold your bottles just the other day man
So you could go play man cause you had and itchy hand
And you plan to go play again tonight
Pawn your baby’s bike maybe hit the satellite
Yeah right, it’s just a never-ending sequel
Like Indian people who always have a cheek full
Of firewater cause they like to be buzzing
It might not be you but I’m sure you got a cousin
Or a dozen of family who like to get pissed
I’m stuck on the reservation something like this

Chorus x2

Verse three written by Tom Crier

For a while now I’ve been thinking forget the drinking
It’s often yours or mine found things I could really live for in my life
Like my brown sugar pie I’ve seen kids look to the sky
And find they get pulled down from behind
By those who can’t climb see it’s our times
Moms and pops would rather be drunk than be hassled
By raising their own dam punks
While the kids stuck staring at materialism
Sells drugs to get what he should have been given
It’s how their driven no ribbons from the track team and
No living out their hockey dreams
It seems all they want to do is make it just to see 18
A true story you’ve been or just seen
The next neechee’s creams got others seeing green
They refuse to see the lines in between the other lines
That’s why I truly fear for my life from the next fool that’s trife
And don’t let it be a moneyow (whiteman)
Because in the end I’ll be left with just a scalp and a bloody knife

Chorus x2
